Myrtle Social Welfare Network is a Public Charitable Organization working for the development of underprivileged communities since 2003 in India. Myrtle works for the social and economic welfare of all classes irrespective of caste, creed, sex and religion. Myrtle has nearly two decades of experience of successfully initiating several specialized programmes focusing on deprived children, youth and community. The organization has partnered with Educational Institutions, Government departments, NGO's, INGO's and UN Agencies in India. Myrtle aims to “Enlivening children for a better tomorrow”.
Myrtle implements programs for the development of tribal communities, provides comprehensive support for cancer affected children and their families and runs a Shelter Home for Urban Homeless women in Chennai.
Myrtle is registered under Section 80G of Income Tax Act 1961 to receive donation inside India and Myrtle qualifies to receive financial support from donors and well-wishers residing outside India under The Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA 2010).
We ensure the care and protection, security and well- being of run-away, unaccompanied and trafficked children who come in contact with the railways.
Myrtle is a strong believer in transforming lives of children through education. We impart quality education to most marginalized children through our various projects.
